Welcome to Salisbury Walk-in Health Centre
At the Salisbury Walk-in Health Centre, we offer convenient access to a range of NHS services. These services are available to everyone without making an appointment, even if you are not registered with us. You can also register with the Health Centre to receive all the services offered here.
We have introduced a walk-in centre to Salisbury to help people who need access to flexible and convenient health services. The centre is run by a team of experienced doctors and nurses.
The service operates on a first come, first served basis for walk in patients unless someone is acutely unwell and needs immediate attention.
Importantly, walk-in centres do not replace local doctor or hospital services but complement them by providing acess to a range of treatment for minor illness and injuries at times when local practices may not be open.
What's Happening This Month?
May is National Walking Month and Living Streets, the national charity that works to create safe, attractive and enjoyable streets, will be encouraging people to walk with their successful annual initiatives - Walk to Work Week (14-18May) and Walk to School Week (21-25 May). Through these events, they hope to show children and adults how easy, enjoyable and rewarding walking is and how it can lead to real changes in people's habits and lifestyles.
To get involved and create your own personal walking log during May, visit www.livingstreets.org.uk
Also in May is Cancer Prevention Week. CPW aims to promote healthy lifestyle choices that can prevent up to a third of all cancers, including healthy eating, physical activity and maintaining a healthy weight. Includes Fruity Friday in the week too.
